Protesting that the enormous sam of £392,292, which has been subscribed by the publie for the purchase of radium as a thank offering for the King's recovery, is still lying idle, the "Daily Mail's" medical correspondent points out that it would suffice to equip 34 centres throughout the eoontrv, with enough radium to treat urgent cases of cancer which remain untreated owing to lack of radium. He states that no orders for radium have yet been placed. —United Service.
