A French Note dealing with the Separations Conference haa been received by the Foreign Office in London. It is understood that the Note agrees to the date, August sth or 6th. It expresses guarded acquiescence in the British view that instead of three conferences there should be only one, dealing simultaneously with political, financial, and economic issues.
The Note concluded by restating French objections to the meeting-place being London, and advocating some neutral meeting place. The Government is forwarding a speedy reply.—Australian Press Association.
