He work of dismantling the Railway Department's house factory at Frankton. where operations were stopped by the late Government, is nearly completed All the machinery haa been removed, and some has been transferred to the Otahuhu Workshops and some to other departments. Some of the buildings, as well as timber, are also being removed to Otahuhu. The staff at the factory, mill, and yard, formerly about 80, now totals about a dozen.
