| MONTHLY MEETING. I A meeting or tiie Council of the Canter- ! hurv Automobile Association was held- last ' evening, Tvhcu the president (Mr F. W. FreeI ruan) occupied the chair. Mr J. L. Dunks rer-onc-d that there was a proposal to -esse e camping ground at Haniiier Spring.- 5 , rear Conical Hill. The site in view was 36 &crc3 in area and i!w Association would have to install v.aior and other conveniences. It was decided to cora inundate v.-ith the Commissioner of Crown l*ar.ds setting oul the Association's position. Its Main Hirhnaya Board (Wellington) advised that its representative would be pleased to co-«pcr:ite with the Association in ;t s letter to the Minister for State Forests, pointing out the disfigurement- to the scenery bv the erection of advertising matter on trees, etc. The president v.-ati appointed the Association's representative ou the Council of the Chamber of Commerce. It vras decided to for.'"ard a letter of thanks to the Chamber for its invitation to appoint a representative on the Council.
