GUN EXPLODES.
DEATH OF RABBIT-SHOOTER. {CTfITID PKIBS ASSOCIATION —BY KJBCTXIC TBUIGBAPB—COPTBIGHT.) SYDNEY, July 6. A Kurri message states that following a shooting tragedy five miles from the township of Mulbring, Harold Beattie trudged wearily back to civilisation with the bodv of his dead mate, L. O'Donnell, slung'across his shoulder. The men were shooting rabbits when a gun exploded and the right side of O'DonnelPs face was blown away. He died three-quarters of an hour later and Beattie carried the body back.— Australian Press Association.
