SERIOUS TRAIN ACCIDENT. DELHI, June 11. Due to a landslide following the monsoon and floods, a Jrain on the Assam-Bengal railway near Halflong overturned and hurtled down an embankment. Two Englishmen and three of the engine crew were killed.—Australian Press Association. NEW ARMY REGULATION. (Received June 12th, 10.35 p.m.) LONDON, June 12. Army officers will be allotted personal numbers for rapid identification any further national emergency. This is applicable to all commissioned ranks after a mobilisation of regulars, reserves, and territorials. The numbers will be quotable after their names in all official documents.—United Service.
