MUNICIPAL THEATRE.
♦ «THK WOMAN DISPUTED." The superb acting of Norma Tslmadge is the principal feature of "'Tim "Woman Disputed," now showing at the Municipal Theatre. She enters liie scene as Mary Ann Wagner, a girl of the streets, and is shown in on early part of tho film hiding a compatriot of" tho underworld from the vigilance of the police. A shootlng, affray in her apartmoot—whtsre »ho narrowly escapes being arrested for murder —is the instrument of introduction into her life of Paul and Nika, the two array officers who, together with Alary, create a triangular drama that demands the highest standard of acting. The character assigned to Norma Talmadgo is one nf the most difficult imaginable, calling for all the dramatic intensity of a talented artist. The whole of the story is oxcellently portrayed, while appropriate music is •o well synchronised with the film that the atmosphere becomes charged with emotion. Mr Gladstone Hill advises that alterations are being made to the stalls of the Municipal Theatre. A partition and curtains are being ereeted, thereby adding materially to the comfort of patrons, especially those in the back stalls.
