PROBATION FOR FRAUD.

(FSBSS ASSOCIATION TSLMKAX.) WELLINGTON, May 90. In the Supreme Court Charles Barrie Sutcliffe was admitted to probation for two years and ordered to pay £6 6s towards the cost of the prosecution and make restitution of £8 9s 6d. He had been fourd by a jury to be guilty of fraud in that he bad obtained money as commission by repreaenting that be had obtained nineteen bona fide orders for enlargements, whereas seventeen of them were given by himself. Accused was employed as a canvasser by the Dominion Portrait Company.
