Herriot, who was erected Mayor for his 21 st year.— United Service. [M. Herriot was Minister for Public Instruction in the Poincare Cabinet until November last 'ear, when a crisis occurred and the Ministry resigned, being reformed without Herriot and other Socialist-Radical members. The crisis was precipitated by M Caillaux, one of M. Poincare's most bitter critics, who, at a nierht sitting of the Socialist-Radical Conere=s, and in Herriot's absence drafted a manifest*, /•ompelline the Ministers to leave the Government. M. Herriot met with a hostile reception at Lvons. following his nnveilins of the statue to M Oombe".
