SHIPPING NOTES.

The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company had three liners in port on Saturday, the Tamaroa, Karamea, and Matakana, with a total of 30,955 tons gross. The Alexander is to discharge cement from Tarakoho here to-day and then load for Nelson, Westport, and Greymouth to the agency of Kinsey and Co., Ltd. The Canopus should arrive this morning from Westport with a full cargo of coal for Lyttelton. The Cygnet is to be dispatched to-night ■with cargo tor Kaikoura and Wellington. The Kaituna was an arrival yesterday from Wellington. She is to commence loading here to-day for Auckland direct. The Canadian Britisher arrived at Lyttelton yesterday from Wellington. She will 'discharge and load here, and is to sail on Wednesday for Dunedin and Timaru. The oil-tanker Paua was an arrival at Lyttelton on Saturday morning from Dunedin. The motor-liner Karamea sailed on Saturday afternoon for 'Wanganui, instead of for Napier, as previously intended. The Port Victor is expected hero on Wednesday from Napier to continue loading. The Port Campbell arrived on Saturday afternoon from New Plymouth, for further loading. The Kaitoke, from Port Kembla with coal, was an early arrival at Lyttelton on Saturdav morning. Pratique was granted, and she berthed at the Gladstone Pier to discharge a big consignment of coal. The Valacia, under charter' to the C. and D. Line, is due at Lyttelton from London on Juno 3rd.
