MOTORIST INJURED.

COLLISION ON RICCARTON ROAD.

As a result of. a collision at Church Corner, Riccarton, early last evening between two motor-ears, T. Hale, a married man, of 9 Scott street, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital suffering from injuries to the face and head. . The collision occurred at the junction of Yaldhurst and Riccarton roads. Hale was driving a Buick car down Yaldhurst road toward the City, when he met, in a head-on collision another car, outward bound, driven by Mr Godfrey Hall, of Hororata. Mr Hall had stopped at the corner, to allow a tram to set down passengers, and he was just moving off, on the left-hand side of the road, when the cars collided. Both were very badly damaged. Mr Hall escaped with slight injuries, his hands and knees being cut. It is believed that the motor-car driven by Hale was taken from Cambridge terrace between 1 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. yesterday.
