INFECTIOUS DISEASES.

NOTIFICATIONS FOR WEEK. The following cases of notifiable diseases were reported to the Medical Officer of Health for the week ended at noon yesterday:—West Coast: Diphtheria six, enteric fever, one, and tuberculosis two. Canterbury: Scarlet fever 26, diphtheria four, enteric fever one, tuberculosis six, pneumonia one, erysipelas two, and eclampsia one, making a total for the week of 50. There were two deaths in Canterbury from tuberculosis. The following cases of scarlet fever notified yesterday were: Sydenham one, Ashburtin one, Levels county one, Tiraaru Borough two. For the week 26 cases were notified, all from Canterbury, 12 being from the metropolitan area.
