FOUND DRUNK IN CAR. (PBJBS3 ASSOCIATION TELEGBAH.) DANNEVIRKE, May 4. William Martin Kelly appeared at the Magistrate's Court to-day on two charges of being found in a state of intoxication while he was in charge of a motor-car. His wife was charged ! with being found drank. ' Owing to the erratic course the car was steering, the police followed it. The car stopped in a side street and the driver and his wile were found in a very drunken condition. In another instance, Kelly, while drunk on April Ist, collided with a Gisborne car through being on the wrong side. The police sergeant said that Kelly was a menace on the road, not only to himself, but to other people. Kelly Was convicted and fined £lO on the first charge and his license was cancelled for three months. On the other he was convicted and discharged and ordered to p.ay 12s costs. His wife was convicted and discharged.* Both were prohibited for twelve months.
