SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. Miss M. O'Callaghan (Jackson street) left yesterday for Wellington. Miss P. Mandeno, who has been the guest of Mrs W. D. Campbell (Wai-iti road), returned to Dunedin yesterday. Mr and Mrs R. Temple (Tokomaru Bay) arrived in Timaru yesterday, and are staying with Mrs P. Chapman (North street). Miss J. Jones (Otiritiri) has returned from a visit to her sister, Mrs M. Miller (Wellington). Miss D. K. Richmond and Mr H. Atkinson (Wellington) arrived from Mount Cook yesterday to stay with Mrs Edgar Jones (Otiritiri). Dr. and Mrs F. F. A. Ulrich (Elizabeth street) will leave to-day on a motor tour through North Canterbury. Those who left for Mount Cook yesterday included Mr and Mrs Chedwick (Australia). Mr and Mrs Bradford (Wellington), Misses Hopsg (Christchurch), Breeze (Auckland), Ross (Wellington), and Mr J. A. Sloane (New South Wales). Guests at the Hydro Grand Hotel include Mr and Mrs R. Ruddenklau (Oamaru), Dr. and Mrs Home (New Plymouth), Mrs and Miss Sparrow (Ashburton), Messrs A. Reid (Christchurch), W. C. Armitage (Christchurch), J. Dunlop (Dunedin), G. Benson (Dunedin), and J. A. Sloane (New South Wales). Recent arrivals at the Dominion Hotel include Mr and Mrs A. H. Aitken (Gore), Messrs H. Wilson (Dunedin), K. Campbell (Melbourne), 11. Crawford (Wellington), and McClelland (Dunedin). Those who have registered at the Grosvenor Hotel include Messrs P. Maechwita (Sydney), L. D. Walker (Sydney), A. Fernan (Sydney), O. Praser (Auckland), A. H. Cramp (Aucklan), O. Baxter (Auckland), G. H. Gray (Dunedin), and E. Akroyd (Wellington).
