The umpires for the next cricket Test will be the same as at Sydney, Messrs Elder and Hele. Ponsford is not available for either the third or fourth Test.—Australian Press Association. Thomas Marchant, of Southampton, was summoned at Eastleigb for riding a bicycle without a light in the pitch dark at 4.30 a.m. He told a constable that he wanted to reach the telephone to get the Test score.
