GAS EXPLOSION.
TROUBLE ON BERLIN STATION. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—BY ELECTBIO TELZGEAPH—COtYRIGHT.) (Received December 25th, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, December 23. The Berlin correspondent of "The Times". states that an explosion resembling the London upheaval at Holborn occurred at a local railway station, when a gas pipe leading underneath the rails, from which gas receptacles in the passenger coaches are filled, became leaky. The gas percolated upwards and was set by some meanß. A series of violent explosions followed, flames spreading over several hundreds of square yards and stopping traffic on 25 sets of lines. Firemen were occupied for several hours controlling the outbreak. —"The Times" Cables. >
