LAND CONFISCATED.
NOMADS OF CENTRAL ASIA.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—BT ELECTRIC TELEGRATH—COPSBIGHT.)
LONDON, November 12.
A British United Press message from Moscow states that, as a result of a Soviet drive to find new lands to distribute among the peasantry, 60 semi-feudal estates, ruled by wild nomads, the Kirchiz Kazaks, in Central Asia, have been seized. The Kazaks* are puzzled by the Soviet's challenge to their invincibility, and are stoutly resisting attempts at nationalisation.—Australian Press Association.
