EAST AFRICA.
the empire policy.
IMPORTANT CONFERENCE.
(totted press association—bt electric TELEGRAPH —COPYRIGHT.) (Received November 13th, 7.45 p.m.) LONDON, November 13. The "Manchester Guardian," commenting on the announcement that Sir Edward Grigg, Govenor of Kenya Colony, and Sir Donald Cameron, Governor of Tanganyika, have been summoned to England to consult Mr L. S. Amery, Secretary to the Dominions, upon the Hilton Young Commission's report, says that a decision will shortly be made concerning the future of East Africa, which will involve no less a question than whether the Empire will pursue, in her dependencies, the policy of bringing greater prosperity and a happier relationship, or one involving an increase of racial hatred, paralysing conflicts, economic unrest, and general distrust, among the other Powers, of British good faith. —Australian Press Association, United Service.
