YACHTING.
PLEASANT POINT CLUB. The Pleasant Point Yachting Club opened; their season yesterday in fine weather. In addition to the sports, a gala was held in the Pleasant Point Domain, the side-shows attracting huge crowds, and the stalls being well patronised. There was a, large' attendance of the public. The following are the results of the racing:— ' , ' Yacht Race, Open, (1 Mile) —Dotorel 1 (0. Allen) 1, Tui (A. T. Round) 2, Atiti (S. Andrews) 3. Also started: White Tauranga, Red Tauranga, Eureka, Possum, Crusette, U. and I. ' , Outward Motors, *Open (3 Mile&)r--liocK-wood (A' A. McLean) "1, Speedboy <G. Andrews) 2. ■ Also, started: No. 12 (White), Wnippet (Watson),,Clatterbox (Scott). Three Mileß Handicap (under 4 H.P.) — Whippet (Watson) 1, Speedboy (G, Andrews) 2, Clatterbox (Scott) 3. Also started: Lockwood and No. 12.' Three Miles Handicap (any h.p.)—Speedboy (Treleaven) 1, No. 12 (White) 2, Lockwood (A. A. McLean) 3. Also started: High Jinks (G. Andrews), Olatterbos (Scott). Whippet (Watson), while turning during a trial spin, pooped and filled, and never faced the Btarter. • '
