TheiConnors and Paul's "League of Notions" Revue Company, who will finish their present season at the New Opera House next Friday night, have had a most successful season, and the reason is not' far to seek tho people like the shows. The comedians aro capable of getting round after round of boisterous laughs, and the two headliners, Miko Connors and Queenio Paul, have scored in popularity with Christchurch , audiences. Tho new programme'commencing at the matinoe this afternoon'is" this company's final production of tho presont season, and is said to be chock-full.of the good things of the stage, and a worthy successor to tho previous shows which have been hailed as the best to date. It consists of a succession' of sketches, songs, dancis, and musical items.' The song number to be featured by Mike Connors and Queenio Paul is "My Idea of Heaven." Another popular number, "Cost Vous," willbe sung by Qubenie Paul, accompanied by Linn Smith's Jazz Band. The leading comedian, Syd. Beck, is never lost for new material. He is always amusing and will put over the footlights some new surprises this week, which aro sure to put the audience into roars of laughter. Linn Smith'B Jazz Band will render another big selection of popular melodies and jazz numbers, and with the assistance or the company, will entertain with original novelties in molody and harmony. Specialty dances will be presented by the two Paulasto Bros., Rougal and Rayne, and vocal «unbe» will be supplied by other members oi this brilliant company. New dance creations will be introduced by the famous Exquisite Six, and the frocking and scenery are said to be excellent, all going to make a sparkling show. The box plans for this aftornoon and tonight's performances are at the New opera House confectionery shop.
