ALLENTON SPORTS CLUB.

The Allenton Sports Club held its annual meeting last evening, Mr K. Houston presiding. Five new members were elected. The annual report stated that , the club, as a whole, had a very successful season, and vast improvement was noticeable in the condition of the various playing areas. Several efforts had been made toy the different sections of.the club to assist the finances. A field day was held to close the season, and £23 was received. A concert organised by Mrs C. de G. Robilliard brought in £35. Prizes had been given by Messrs P. ■ Walier, R. Houston, A. Bray, a:nd W. G. Hardwick. The membership totalled 172. Reports from the various sections were also presented. The balance: Sheet showed that the receipts totalled £372 8s 2d, and tho expenditure £357 8s 4d, leaving a credit of £ls 3s 6d. Tho assets exceeded the liabilities by £B2O 19*. The reports and balance-sheet were adopted. Prizes von during the year in the various sections of the club were presented by Mrs D. A. Morgan. The following officer;? were elected: — Patron. Knox, Mr H. Stephens (tennis section), Mrs B. W. Barr Miss M. McDowell (croquet), Messrs W. He'dges, D. A. Morgan; auditor, Mr D. A. Moore; refreshment committee, Mesdames E. C. Bathurst (convener),. J. Stevenson, W. Acton, 'Mjbs B. Jary.
