Bay' between teams representing tho Lyttelton Golf Club and the Avondale Golf Club. The Lyttelion team will bo the same. as played against Avondale in tho last match. , : Miniature Bifie Club. The club fired its laßt competition match Against' New Brighton Ladies on Friday, and won, the scores being: Lyttelton 533, New Brighton Ladies 519. - The highost" scorers were D. Pascoe and A. W. Burbery with 68 each. . A. W. Burbery won the Button this week with a score o£ 68. • This .veek\ the club will fire off for another trophy. St. Saviour's Church. ' The Patronal Festival was observed at St. Saviour's Churcli on Sunday, and a Festival service was held in the •fevening. .The Very Rev. J. A.. Julius, Dean ~of Christchurch, preached, and special hymns we're sung. The church was beautifully decorated for tho Festival.. A memorial service for the late Mrs M. A. Harris was held - in the morning. The vicar, the Rev. ,T. M. Curnow,. preached from the text, 1 Cor., 15, 20, "Now is Christ risen , from the- dead, and .become the firstfruit of them that slept." The hymns sung were "For Ever With the Lord," "On the Resurrection Horn," and "They Whose Course on Earth is o'ef." ' There were large congregations at both services. . - ' •. Dance. The Lyttolton Rowing Club held a very successful dance in the Excelsior Hall on Saturday. Music was supplied'by'Miss D. Jones's orchestra, Miss Muxlow playing extras. ■- Novelty dances were won by Miss Bateman, Miss May, and Mr.Still. Messrs L; Blackler and W. Braclley carried out the dutios of M.O.'s.
