MAUNGANUI DELAYED.
SYDNEY TRIP CANCELLED. [THE PBESS Special Service.] WELLINGTON, July 30. The Union Company advises that the Maunganui, southward bound from San Francisco, is being delayed by engine trouble and will not arrive at Wellington until noon on Thursday, three dajra late. She will remain at Wellington to effect repairs to her engines and will sail again on August 14th for Rarotonga, Papeete, and San Francisco. Passengers who were pro--ceeding to Sydney by the Maunganui will transfer to the Marama, which leaves Wellington on Friday afternoon. The Maheno, which leaves Sydney on August 10th for Wellington, will connect with the Maunganui, sailing from Wellington on August 14th. The cargo from San Francisco # by the Maunganui will be transhipped to Sydney by the Marama on Friday and the Karetu, which sails from Wellington on Saturday. A radio message was received this morning from the Marama, which left Sydney on Friday for Wellington, stating that she is experiencing heavy weather and does not expect to arrive until to-morrow afternoon.
