TO TEE EDITOR OF THE PEKSS. Sir, —Just recently I lifted 1161b of parsnips from 4} square yards of ground. This completes the tests on this piece of land with the exception, of five mangolds. So far, I have never seen a statement of what could be produced on a given area of land. The following is the area pf the piece of land and the amount that has been produced on it this season:—Area of piece of land, l-27th and 23-35 th of an acre. Produce: —Potatoes 4651b, onions 2271b, parsnips 1161b, carrots 561b, mangolds (on test) about 501b, peaches 201b; eight long rows of peas, two rows of asparagus, one bed of ranunculus, one plot of asters, one bed of cabbage plants, and some seed onions.
