JUNIOR B COMPETITION. The Junior B interclub competition was continued at Wilding Park on Saturday, when the third round was played in splendid 'tennis weather. The results •were: — LINWOOD v. FENDALTON. (Linwood names first.) Singles—A. R. Cant beat J. W. D. Fisher, 6-4, 6-4; J. H. Griffiths lost to D. Lusk, 4-6, 6-5, 3-6; H. S. P. Andrews beat F. S. Jewell, 5-6, 6-4, 6-2; H. S. Baron beat D. Orozler, 6-4, 6-4. Doubles —Cant and Andrews lost to Faster and Jewell, 1-6, 3-6; Griffiths and Baron beat Lusk and Crozier, 6-5, 6-2. Linwood won by four matches to two. AVONSIDE 11. v. ADDINGTON. (Avonside names,first.) Singles—A. Fraser lost to J. Fletcher, 1-6, 6-2, 4-6; A. Olissold beat J. Silvester, 3-8, 6-3, 6-2; W. Deans lost to D. Silvester, 6-5, 3-6, 3-6; H. Bell lost to h. Gay, 0-6, 1-6. Doubles —Fraser and Deans lost to Silvester and Silvester, 2-6, 3-6; OlißSold and Bell v. Fletcher and Gay, 1-6, 6-5 (unfinished). Aldington won by four matches to one. . . EDGEWARE v. ST. STEPHEN'S. (Edgeware names first.) Singles—L. Harker beat 0. Haig, 6-0, 6-1; L. Armstrong beat'O'Donnell, 6-0, 6-1; 0. Richards beat W. Moses, 6-0, 6-5; L. Wilkinson beat G. Finney, 6-2, 6-0. Doubles—Armstrong and Harker beat 1 O'Donnell and Haig, 6-4, 6-3; Richards and Wilkinson beat Moses and Finney, 6-1, 6-3. E.dgeware won by six matches to none. OPAWA v. ASCOT. (Opawa names first.) Singles—N. Tregear lost to L. O'Malley, 2-6, 6-3, 5-6; K. White lost to J. J. Flood, 6-5, 3-6, 4-6; 0. Sowdeh beat G. McGregor, 5-6, 6-1, 6-4; 0. Tregear heat 0. Craae, 6-1, Doubles—o. Tregear and K. White beat McGregor and Craze, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2. The other double was not played. Opawa won. t SHIKLEY v. In trial matches to choose an English team to go to America to contest the Wightman Cup, the doubles resulted:— Mrs Watson and Miss Nuthall boat Mrs Lycett and Miss Harvey, 6-1, 3-6, 6-2.
