Arrears totalling £9OO were indicated in a maintenance case at the Magistrate's Court, when James Edwin King, wlio was arrested At Christchurch on a warrant issued seven years ago, was charged with disobedience of an order to maintain his wife. Accused had been living under an assumed name, and admitted tliat he had an obligation to another woman find three children, but would do what he could if given a chance. He was sentenced to six months' imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended if he paid £4 6s 8d monthly.
