Dance. A successful dance, arranged by the com- ! mittee of the Heathcote Club, took' place in ] the Club Hall. There was a largo attend- j ance, especially of Christchurch people. The music was supplied by Bowman's Valencia Orchestra. Messrs W. Angus and L. Bunny wore the M.O.'s. ; Personal. Mr and Mrs 0. Toy, Lee street, are spending the holidays on the West Coast. Mr Bloxham and Miss Inez Bloxham, Hills road, have returned from ,a holiday spent in Timaru and Waimate. Misses A. Wyman and L. Wynian (Timaru) are the guests of Mr Wyman, Smith street. Miss Joyce Hignett (Greymouth) has been staying with her aunt, Mrs Bottle. Miss Renee Connolly, Hills road, is spending the holidays at Invercargill. Mr C. Deavoll left yesterday for the glaciers and cold lake districts. Mr Hector Henderson and Miss Mona Henderson (Kingsdown, Timaru) are spending the holidays with their uncle, Mr J. Morgan, Hills road. Mr and Mrs A. Irvino left this week for their home in Kilbirnie, Wellington. Boys' Club Camp. The members of the Heathcote Methodist Boys' Club, who journeyed to Hill's Bush for their annual camp, have returned, after having speut a very pleasant holiday. Among their various "stunts" was a 20-milo walk to Lake Genet, which lies near Mount Grey.
