♦ Wolf Cubs. The Lyttcltpn Wolf Cub pack is at present working hard to qualify for badges in a competition which is being held. The boys made good progress during their week's camp at Charteris Bay, -where they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. During the big storm on the last night in camp the boys were accommodated in the schoolhouse, where they remained dry, although their effects, left in the tents, received a soaking. Sports Ground Loan. At the next meeting of the Lyttelton Borongh Council the question of arranging for a loan of £SOOO to top-dress, fence, and provide accommodation for performers and the public will be discussed. From what con be ascertained from conversation in the street it would appear that the majority of residents are in favour of the loan. Obituary. The funeral took place at the English Cemetery, yesterday afternoon, of Arthur David Isherwood, aged 16, son of Mr and Mrs C. Isherwood, who died at the Christchurch Hospital on January 4th after a short illness. The lad was a vory popular scholar of Standard VI. at the West Lyttelton School, and Standards V, and VI. attended the funeral yesterday afternoon. Over twenty wT-eaths, including one from the West Lyttelton School and one from his playmates, were laid on the grave.
