In the State teams matches, Queensland, 101, defeated New Zealand, 80. The scores were: Queensland, 27, defeated Thomas's rink, 19; Queensland, '24, defeated Clark's rink, 20; Queensland, 27, defeated Hills's rink, 19 i Queensland, 23, defeated Hobday's rink, 22. After 15 ends the score was 5o all, and after 20 ends Queensland was 76 and New Zealand 67. Hobday was in good form, and got 13 points in the first twelve heads. NewZealand finished badly after the fifteenth end. Councillor Marks entertained the teams at luncheon prior to the match.
