Addressing the Canadian Club today, the Hon. Mr Richard Bennett, the Conservative leader, emphasised the necessity of Canada making a decision as to whether her strength economically was cast within or without the Empire. "We must decide within the next few years if we are to combine with other parts of the Empire, or combine with economic interests elsewhere, it is economic union within the Empire or with our cousins to the south," he said.
