LONDON, January 4,
Tlie correspondent of the "Daily Mail" at Vienna reports that depredations by starving wolves in Hungary and Czeclyj-Slovakia are increasing. The animals have penetrated districts where they have not been known for years. One pack attacked and devoured eleven girls in a wood in the Carpathian Mountains, and the countryside is panio stricken. Special gendarmerie have been organised to protect lonely farms and villages.
