Puawhe Tekoe appeared before Justices to-day charged with being drunk in charge of a motor-eyae. not lnv'nu a license, and riding an unregistered machine. The police *aiu accused was found attempting to ruis a, motor-cycle through the town on New Year's Eve. On the minor counts accused was convicted and discharged. For drunkenness he was sentenced to 14 days' imprisonment with hard labour.
