THE WEATHER. .Meteorological observations taken at, ilio Magnetic Observatory, Christchurch, at 9.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on" Xoveniber 2Sth:

Forecast. Prosent indications aro for strong winds to a gale westerly, backing to sou'-westerly north of Kawhia and Napier, and sou'oasterly to southerly elsewhere. The weather will be cold, unsettled, and boisterous, with passing showers genorally, but some heavy rain in tho East Coast between East Cape and Akaroa, and in the Cook Strait region. The barometer will be rising over the Dominion soon, and conditions will be gradually modorating. Tho cyclone has been centred today off the East Coast south of Napier.
