CHRISTCHURCH BRANCH. At a meeting of the executive ot the Christchurch branch of the. U.S.A., there were present: Messrs Cuthbert (chairman), Hayden, Hoffman, Dabourn, Orchard, McCoy, Leadley, Lloyd, Thomas, Chisnall,' Smith, and the secretary. It was.decided to hold a general meeting of members on November 17th to consider the following resolution: "That this Association admits as club members, on payment of a subscription of 10s per annum, men who have served in New Zealand and who have received a military discharge." A vote of condolenco was passed to Mr McCoy in the death of his wife. In connexion with the forthcoming visit of Mr Ij. S. Amery, the Under-Secretary for Internal Affairs wrote stating that in the programme submitted to Mr Amery, ft visit to the R.S.A. Club was included to take place on the evening of November 30th. It was decided to make arrangements for ex-Im-perial men to meet Mr Amery. A vote of thanks was accorded to all who helped to make the recent concert in the Caledonian Hall, given by the Amateur Operatic Society, such a success. It was reported that work was well in hand, for the Christmas fair to be held in Jellicoe Hall, and that the majority of the toys had arrived from England. It is anticipated that Mr Amery will declare the fair open.
