OTAHUNA DAFFODILS.

* VISIT BY W.E.A. STUDENTS. In beautiful weather on Saturday afternoon about one hundred W.E.A. students and their friends inspected the magnificent display of daffodils at Otahuna, the beautiful residence and grounds of Sir R. Heaton Rhodes. The party travelled from town iu three of the Tramway Hoard's motor-buses. On arrival at Otahuna the party assembled in front of the house, where Mr A. H. Shrubshall gave, ail interesting talk on narcissi. The party was then shown over the grounds by the head-gardener, Mr Wilson - . After the inspection the party reassembled in front of the house and Mr Geo. Manning, secretary of the W.E.A., said that they should express their appreciation 6f Sir Heaton .Rhodes s action in allowing them to view his beautiful grounds. They wero also indebted to Mr Wilson for having taken them round. Mr Shrubshall moved: lhat a vote of thanks be accorded to Sir' Heaton Rhodes for the privilege he had granted them, and to Mr Wilson for having personallv conducted the party. The motion was . carried by acclamation, and in response to Mr .'fanning s call, hearty cheers wero given for feir Heaton Rhodes.
