N.S.W. Governor on Tour. Sydney, September 20.—The Stato Governor, Sir Dudley de Chair, departed in the warship H.M.A.S. Melbourne to visit Lord Howe Island. Children Burned to Death. Sydney, September 20.—As a result of a fire in a tent at Newtown, near Narromine, a girl, aged two, and a baby, aged four months, were fatally burned. A boy of four was also burned, but is expected to recover. Their father suffered burned hands and face while dragging the children from the structure. Egyptian Politics. London, September 19.—The Correspondent of "The Times" in Cairo states that the Wafd Party has issued a manifesto stating that it will work for the realisation ox Zaghlul Pasha's principles, fight for independence, safeguard the Constitution, maintain the Coalition, and ontinue friendly relations with foreign Powers, particularly Britain. Everything'points to the selection of Nahas as president of the Assembly. Bitter Election in N.S.W. Sydney, September 20.—An intensely bitter election campaign is in full progress. Some of the worst feeling is between the contending sections of the Labour Party. Sir Joseph and Lady Cook. Fremantle, September 20.—Sir Joseph and Lady Cook were passengers by the Orsova from London. New Guinea Official's Death. Sydney, September* 20.—News has been received of the death of the British Eesident Commissioner for , New Guinea, Mr G. B. Smith Eewes, as a result of burns caused by a mishap to his reading lamp.
