ADDINGTON BURGESSES.

* • MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. \ A meeting of the Aldington Burgesses Association was hold last niglit, "Mr W. Mplloy presiding over a. large attendance of members. Tho Halsweil Association wrote inviting the Addington Association to a social and card evening on September 21th. It was decided to write suggesting that a more suitable date be fixed. The committee of the Selwyn Kindergarten wrote thanking the Association for its donatiori. With reference to the state of Clarence road, a member stated that near Lincoln road, it was a "death-trap." The metal had been puslied , to tho side of the load, and several accidents had recently occurred there. It wa3 decided to write to the Biccarton Borough Council on tho matter.
