■ Queen Carnival. At a meeting of representatives of the Lyttelton Golf Olub, Diamond Harbour Golf Olub, Lyttelton Ladies' Swimming Club, and the' Te Whaka Tennis Club last evening, Miss Myra Sutton was chosen the clubs' queen in the forthcoming Queen Carnival.
Fancy Dress Tarty. A children's fancy dress party in aid of Scout funds was held in the Holy Trinity schoolroom on Saturday afternoon. The party was organised by Mrs W. Gilray and Mr L. A. Waters. Mrs L. Morrison and Miss Clements, both of Ch r istchurch, carried out the difficult duties of judges most successfully. The following ladies assisted with the afternoon tea: Mesdames Huston, Schenkel, A. N. W. Scott, Geo. Lester, and others. Miss N. Davis and Miss Jessie Gilray controlled the children in games and the parading of the different sections for the judges. There were a large number of children in fancy dress, also many parents were present, and altogether the party was a huge success. Prizes were awarded as follows: —Special prize given by Mr James Pegly, of Christchurch, of a pair of shoes, was awarded to Gwen Sylvester (Hawaiian Girl). Special prizes: H. Wilson (Christmas Tree), Dolcie and Jack Sinclair (Jack and Jill), G. McGillip (Tennis). Under 6 years: Most original, F. Fowlds (Bargain Sale), N. Ca te (Rabbit). Fancy, Samuel Sowden (Maypole Girl) 1, Joyce Newsome (Fairy) 2, N. Gibbs (Birdcage) 3. Six to 8 years: Most original boy, J. Small (Football Results); most original girl, E. Lester (Won't You Buy My Pretty Flowers 1); fancy, boy, Allen Donelly (Indian); fancy, girl, Joan Davis (Early Victorian). Nine to 11 years: Most original, girl, Berle Wales (Washing Day); boy, Maurice Lester (Sports); fancy, girl, Aileen Kemp (Autumn); boy, Colin Kemp (Dancing Jack). Twelve years and over: Most original, boy, N. Cummings (Swagger); girl, Olga Webb (Golliwog); fancy, boy, A. Mills (Indian); girl, Frances Barraclongh (Powder Puff). Golf. Championship rounds were continued at both Charteris Bay and Diamond HaTbour during the week-end. Playing in the Lyttelton Golf Club's senior championship, 0. E. Ayers defeated N. Aitken, R. Candy defeated H. Ayers, and F. Knight defeated D. E. L. Collett. In the junior section B. Miller defeated A. Caskie, and G. Morris defeated 0. McKenzie.
In the final round of the Diamond Harbour senior championship, H. Derbidge defeated L. Barnard on the 36th hole. A. K. Smith, in tue final round of the juniors, defeated J. J. Gower.
Championship rounds •were also played by the lady members of the Lyttelton_ Golf Club, with' the following results:—Miss 0. Williams defeated Miss Belle Renault, Miss A. Wells defeated Miss P. Plimmer, and Miss E. Ayers defeated Miss E. Bundy. R. Candy has' been drawn to play C. Ayerg and F. Knights to play N. Thompson in the semi-final round of the Lyttelton Golf Olub Senior championship.
