• —♦ —■ BOYLE CUP. TIMARU DEFEAT CHRISTCHURCH The Christchurch and Timaru Ladies' Golf Clubs met at Timaru yesterday in a'match for tho Boyle Cup, the challenge being by Christchurch. The match was won'by the holders (Timaru) by five g-arncs, the score being 5S to h Miss Beadle (Christchurch) and Mrs Kerr (Timaru) halved one game. The Timaru Club lias now received a challenge from the Geraldine. Club, tho match to be played on Monday. . Tho results of yesterday's match were as follows* Timaru ladies being mentioned first, and the handicaps. given in parentheses: — Mrs Kerr (1) and Miss Beadel (-1) halved; Miss Pringle (10) beat Mrs Godby (5), 4 up and 2 to play; Mrs O'Callaghan (13) beat Miss G. Shand (5), 1 up; Mrs Bannerman (13) beat Miss K. Bristed (7), 2 up and 1 to play; Mrs Thompson (14) beat Mrs Lawrence (10), 3 up and 2 to play; Miss Cotterill (1!)) beat Miss Norah Hoare (17), 3 up and 1 to piny. ■ The weather was beautiful, -with sunshine and blue sky, and the Timaru ladies entertained the visitors most hospitably. _ ■ , » LYTTELTON V.
