RECORDS PASSED BY "COUNCIL. [THE 7BESB Special Berries.] WELLINGTON. April 5. Mr <J. H> Luik presided at .a meeting of the Couneil o! the New Zealand Amateur, Athletic Association. The following New Zealand reeordi were passed: — Half HUe Cycle—F. Grose, lmin 4see. Three Hile Cycle—T. Oakley, 7min 4 SS "lOOyds Mantan, U 3-58ec. 440 yds Hurdles—A. 0. GarlUV, 68iec. Throwing the Javelin —S. A. Lay, 194 ft Hop, Step, and Jump—J. W. Shirley, 47ft The following were passed as New Zealand records made by New Zealand athletes in the particular events: — 440yds—J. T. Fleming, SOsec. High Jump—J. W. Shirley, sft 9jin. The time registered by. M. Leadbetter <22see) at the New Zealand championships at Auckland for 320 yds was passed as equal to that put up by G. Davidson. Tho time (9 4-ssec) registered by M. Lead- , tetter for 100 yds, and E. W. Lauder's per- | formance (15 X-ssec) for the 120 yds hurdles were passed as equalling the New Zealand records for the events, and it was decided that they be forwarded to the Australian and New Zealand Amateur Athletic Union, together with.that of S. A. Lay's record for 205 ft 11 Jin in throwing the javelin. Mesra Lusk and L. A. Traeey were appointed a committee to revise the list of "probables" to be forwarded to the Olympic Council.
