RUBBISH DUMP ABLAZE. Last evening the fire Brigade received anoth'er call to a fire in Papaonui. About 5.30 p.m. the City Council rubbish dump in Matsou's road was blazing fiercely, and although the chemical engine from St. Albans was quickly on the scene, it had little or no effect. As the fire was spreading rapidly it was necessary to call an engine up from the City station.
