"Walker e was accepted. i- Economic Bulletins. l t Appreciation of the economic bulg let ins published by the Chamber and ® of its sympathetic attitude towards the ■s produoers was expressed in a letter from the Canterbury A. and P. Association. The London Chamber of Commerce * forwarded a circular letter calling attention to the g<jod work being done by the "Chamber of Commerce Journal" for the promotion of inter-Imperial trade. It was suggested that a special inter-Imperial trade number be 2r published in July. The letter invited is the contribution of an article dealing o- with the trade and products of New Zealand, and suggested that two pages in of advertisements be guaranteed. :e : The letter was received. Mr Charles M. Bowden, secretary of the Associated Chambers of Commerce, wrote with reference to the decision of the last conference to ask the Minister for Publicity to call a conference re to consider the proposal for the establishment of a Tourist and _ Publicity Board. He was now in receipt of adst vice from the Publicity Officer that the oS Minister had agreed to call a conference for May 4th, in Wellington. The letter asked whether the Chamber sd would take .the necessary steps to adhe vise those interested in shipping, t0 motor traffic, hotels and accommodation, and others directly concerned with ul tourist traffic, in order that they might to make arrangements to be represented. in The letter was received. The secretary of the R.S.A. wrote inviting the Chamber to forward a wreath in connexion with the Anzac Day services. (PBZSS ASSOCIATION TBLEGfIASt.) WANGANUI, April 4. The statistics for the 1926-27 series _of wool sales in Wanganui show a definite improvement on those for the 1025-1026 series. Although the number of bales offered for pale at the recent series was slightly less than for 1923-1926, a greater clearance was effected, and the revenue was greater. The total number of bales sold was over 58,000, the average prices being as follows: —November 23rd, 10.759 d; January 21st, 11.340 d; February 24th, 11.438 d; March Dlst, 11.863 d. The total proceeds totalled £913,535 last year, and £983,513 this year. LONDON WOOL SALES. The JTew Zealand Loan ar.d Mercanti'e Agency have received the following cabled advice from London: —TV col Sales—The sales closed firmly on April Ist, with the home trade mora active. Competition on German and French account is active. As compared with last sale's closing rates, prices are higher about 5 per cent, for scoured crossbred, medium scoured merino, crossbred slipe, inferior scoured merino, and greasy merino. Prices are higher aioufc par to 5 per cent, for scoured merino super and gTeasy crossbred; prices are higher about 5 per cent, to 7| per cent, for lambs, merino and crossbred. The prices realised for average to super grades of descriptions as below were as follows:—Merino super, 24d to 97d: rrerino average, lPd to 23d; crossbred, 56-53, 23d to 25Jd: 50-53. 19d to 223; 48-50, lGd to 19d; 4S-48, 14fcl to 17d; 44-46. 13§d to lojd; 40-44, ISJd to 14Jd: S6-40, .12d to 13jd.
