POWER LOAD.

NEW RECORD AT LAKE COLERIDGE. A new record for the Lake Coleridge ] power station was put up last Friday, between 7 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.. when the maximum load reached 17,420 k.w. This was, well within the capacity of the seven units in commission, which have a. total nominal output of 19,500 k.w. The No. 8 unit (7500 k.w.) is not yet permanently in commission, as adjustments''of the governor aro i° progress. The previous highest maximum load at Lake Coleridge was 16,540 k.w., which was recorded between 11 a.m. and 11-30 a.m. on Thursday, March10th last.
