, ——♦ HANNAN AND GOODSELL. [THE PRESS Special Service] WELLINGTON, April 4. J. P. Batman states that it 13 his intention to sail for the United States this month to contest the world's eculling championship with Major Goodsell. Hannan flays that his phyoi-ja.l condition was never better than it was to-day, and that though 42 years of age, medical opinion is that hi 3 muscular development is equal to that of moat athletes 10 to 13 years hi 3 junior. Hifl supporters are of tho opinion that !iis chances are lrtight. He has never been beaten on a harbour course yet, and present intentions aro that the championship race shall be rowed at San Francisco. A committee in Wellington which is arranging Hanna-n's expenses has cabled Goodsell informing him of Hannan's intention of proceeding to America to row for tho world's title.
