A number of miners who wero unable to obtain leases on the fields has returned, and a considerable Higher of disappointed men is waiting to obtain passages. Some of those who returned declare that the reports of the richness, of the field are greatly exaggerated. Prospectors havo great l?opes that better transport will widen the prospects qf exploring the gold-bearing area, especially when aeroplane transit commences towards the end of April.
