SUMNER CLUB. The Sumner 0 team "visited Linv.-ood on Tuesday for. » friendly match, Linwood proving the winners. The following are the results, Sumner players mentioned first:— Doubles—Mrs Allen and Mrs Deane beat Mrs Vincent and Mrs Kellaway, Mrs Martin and Mrs Crosby lost to Mrs Mason and Mrs Prime, Mrs Mitchell and Mrs Barclay lost to Mrs Horton and Mrs Sandring. Singles—Mrs Allen beat Mrs Vincent, Mrs Deane beat Mrs Kellaway, Mrs Crosby lo6t to Mrs Prime, Mrs Martin lost to Mrs .Mason, Mrs Mitchell lost to Mrs Horton, Mrs Barclay lost to Mrs Sandring. A 20-mlnute tournament was held on the Snmnef lawns for prizes given by Mrs East and Miss Wood. Mrs Whitfield, sen., and Mrs Gough, ,iun., proved the winners, each lady winning the button and prize. Scores were as follows: .Seniors—Mrs Whitfield 41, Mrs Chambers 38, Mrs East 38, Mrs Bates 37, Mrs Glackin 35, Miss.Bain 35, Miss Harris' 33, Mrs Partridge 33, Mrs Brown 25, Mrs Johnson '23. Juniors —Mrs Goiigh 47, Mrs Ogfer 42, Mrs Allen 39, Mrs Foster 37, Mrs Seane 38, Miss Wodd 84, Mrs Crosby 32, Mrs Cheshire 32, Mrs Mitchell 31, Clark 31. AUCKLAND TOURNAMENT. (PBKBS ASSOCIATION TELEOBAH.) AUCKLAND, March 10. ; The final matches in the North Island croquet tournament were played to-day in showery weather. The results were:— Championship Doubles —Mesdames Croxford (Auckland) and Healey (Woodville) 26 beat Misses Hesketh and Workman (Auckland) 23. The contest for the Auckland Croquet Association's rose bowl for competition among Auckland players only, resulted in Colonel Saville (26, 26) defeating Mrs Coutts (8, 6).
