ROWING.
CHRISTCHURCH REGATTA. Pinal arrangements for the Christchurch regatta, which is to bo held at Kairakl on Saturday, wore made at a meeting of the Christchurch Regatta Club Committee on Monday. Mr I'. P. Kesteven, who presided, said that it had been found necessary to reduce the senior races from a mile and a half to one mile, ns it would he impossible to get a full mile and a half course. Nenr lleddon-on-thc-Wall, in Northumberland, beneath an old roadway which was being repaired, a remnant bf Hadrian's Wall has been discovered.
