The meeting takes place tonight, tt English l'urk Stadium, commencing at 3 p.m. Lamb arrived from Auckland yesterday morning, where he performed with the greatest distinction, winning f.«o championships. He defeated Urcso in the hul:mile championship by a narrow margin; in the one mi!* the latter unfortunately fell, a-J ri ! rot *b!c to atart in BuL-wq-jeni races. Lamb iiss had several rides at English Park since hi 3 arrival, and thinks that euch a fine track will allow him to put up the heat performances of his New Zealand tour. Christchurch fans have on many occasions seen Grose record some wonderful performances, and now everyone is keyed up to concert pitch ovtr the prospect* for to-night. Then there i 3 a splendid athletic programme in support. Malcolm Leadbetter, New Zealand open amateur champion sprinter. Trill be seen in action in the 100 yards and Kl> yards handicaps.
