MONICA PARK CARNIVAL.
For the bit? aports carnival which commences at Monica Park to-morrow night, tho principal attraction is tho cycle match Tncc. over distances of half-mile, three-quarter-mile, and ono mile, between P. O'Shca and W. Mackie, the cro-ck Canterbury riders, both of whom arc in good form at present, especially Mackie. As tho result of complaints by riders, the organiser* have decided to remove the electric light vests at the bends of the tracks, in order to eliminate any danj:er of collisions. In addition to cycling events, thorr will bo foot racce, and the lighter f-ide of the carnival will be provided by numerous eidcshowa.
