Pleas of guilty were entered by William Herbert Vincent, aged 43 years, who was charged with being found drunk in Tuam street on Thursday, and with a breach of his prohibition order. On the first count he was convicted and discharged: while on the second he was fined 40s, in default 14 day?' imprisonment. DRUNKENNESS. Drunkenness was admitted by Michael Dolaney, aged 51 years, who was arrested in Madras street on Thursday. "You've done pretty well," Mr Mosley told him. "You haven't been convicted for six years. Cycling without a bell cost Kenneth Armstrong ss, while Sidney J, Cusack was convicted and discharged. _ Kenneth Armstrong was convicted and discharged on a charge of cycling without a reflector. For cycling at night without lights, Kenneth Armstrong was convicted and discharged. Stanley Walter Carson was fined 10s; Sidney J. Cusack, convicted and discharged; and Herbert W. S. Righton fined 10s. T. H. Herrick fined 5s and costs. A fine of 20s and costs was inflicted on Wilfred Alfrod Irons, who admitted passing another vehicle in his motor-car on the wrong side. Ernest A. King was fined 40s for assisting William A. Lake in the commission of driving a motor vehicle without a license. Frank Edmund Olson, who did not appear, was fined 20s and costs for using a motorcar for purposes other than sale, although the car bore marks distinguishing it as one held only for purposes of sale. He was fined £2 and costs for failing to drive correctly at an intersection. On a further charge of driving at night without a rear light, Olsen was convicted and discharged. Albert Charles Rippon was fined 20s and costs for pillion riding. For leaving a motor-car unattended, Maurice William Buckley was fined 10s. Henry James Davey was fined 10s _ and costs for being an unlicensed motor driver. Penalties were imposed as follows on motorists who drove at night without full lights;— Ernest Edward Edmonds 10s, William S. Laing 10s, Ernest Albert Logan 10s, Lindsay Russell 10s, Charles Edward Tustin convicted and ordered to pay costs, Frances Samuel, Woodward, 10s. Gavin Wiseman and Frederick John Leonard, for cycling on the footpath, were each fined 10s. FIREWORKS IN CITY. The following were fined with costs for letting oft crackers and bombs in the City: Augustus Barrett ss, Robert Calder 20s, Andrew Downey 20s, Richard Maher•los, Robert David Miller 10s, Norman Pettit 10s. HAWKERS FINED. . On charges of hawking without a license, Peter Brooke, Samuel Fuller, and John B. Oldham were fined 10s ana costs. DISMISSED. The case in -which Stephen Alexander McDonald (Mr W. F. Tracy) pleaded not guilty to a charge of negligently driving " car in Victoria street was dismissed, the Magistrate saying he was not satisfied that McDonald had been at all negligent. SERIOUS OFFENCES. Speeding on a motor-cycle along Seaviaw road was admitted by William Allan Lake, who was fined £3 and costs. He was fined another £2 for boing an unlicensed driver. Charged with dangerously driving a motorcycle on Seavipw road Leslie Francis Baker was convicted and fined £3 and costs. Walter Lewis, for driving a motor-car without a drivers' license, was convicted ana fined £1 and costs. . Edward Power, for being found on the Railway Hotel premises after hours, was convicted and fined 20s and costs. John Liddy, for being found on the Railway Hotel premises after hours, was convicted and fined £2 and costs. James Brown, for procuring liquor during the currency of a prohibition order, was convicted and fined £5 and costs, in default 14 days' imprisonment. He' was warned that if he came before the Court again for the same offence he would be sent to Roto Roa Daly, for assaulting Frederick poninghouse, "was convicted and fined £5 ana costs, in default 14 days' imprisonment.
